DCS Online Application Page

Welcome to Desert Christian Schools!

Please read through this entire page before beginning the online application process.

Founded in 1986, Desert Christian Schools (DCS) is an independent, inter-denominational, evangelical Christian covenant school system, where all admissible students of any race, color, nationality, or ethnic origin are offered all of the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available at DCS. In partnership (covenant) with Christian families, DCS is committed to providing an educational experience, centered on the foundation of a Biblical Christian Worldview. At DCS, it is our mission to pursue excellence in Christian education, foster Christ-Centered relationships, and endeavor to meet the unique learning needs of every student.

Admissions Criteria:

  1. One parent/guardian must be a practicing believer in the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.
  2. Active church attendance/participation is expected of all admissible students and their families.

The DCS Admissions Process is designed to determine if an academic, social, and spiritual partnership (covenant) can be created and maintained with every applicant and their family. Applicants and their family are required to review the DCS Articles of Faith before applying as a way to confirm the covenantal expectations that will be upheld and biblical teaching that will take place on campus.

Admissions Process:

  1. Online Application
  2. Church Life Referral Form (all applicants - completed during the application process)
  3. Academic Referral Form (1st - 12th grade applicants - completed during the application process)
  4. Admissions Interview - Conducted by a Member of the DCS Admissions Committee

Please Note: A formal academic assessment in reading and math may be required as part of the admissions process. School Administration may also request an additional conversation at any point during the admissions process.

Students who currently have OR had in the past two years a documented Individualized Education Plan (I.E.P.), Behavior Intervention Plan (B.I.P.), Learning Accommodation, and/or a 504 Plan are encouraged to connect with the DCS Skills Center Team before moving forward with the admissions process. Please call the DCS Admissions Office to complete this step: 520-901-5499.

When to Apply

DCS begins the annual admissions process each January by hosting admissions events that highlight important information regarding DCS, as well as opening our online applications.

Applicants who are admissible will receive an acceptance letter regarding admissions to DCS once all admissions requirements are complete and the DCS Admissions Committee has met and determined an admissions decision.  Applicants who are admissible will be required to return the DCS tuition contract and 1/2 of first month's tuition (which is non-refundable) to complete the enrollment process. Applicants who are accepted after the second week in July, or anytime throughout the academic year, will be required to return the DCS tuition contract and a full month's tuition (which is non-refundable).

All items must be received in the school office by the deadline indicated in the letter to complete the acceptance process. A non-refundable fee of $100 must be submitted with each application.
